The Opportunity:
As the Senior Partner Sales Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining the partner relationship, identifying and developing a pipeline with key business partners, co-selling with partners to win new business, and overseeing and driving Partners to get customers to value as quickly as possible. This role is pivotal in driving the commercetools’ efforts to achieve business growth and success. You will collaborate with various teams, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and others, to ensure effective partner collaboration and customer satisfaction.
Your Mission:
- Sell the vision of composable commerce as a key revenue stream for our partners
- Work with partners to identify new commerce re-platforming initiatives in the market and convert them into actionable sales pipeline.
- Constantly enable the partners and reinforce the messaging for composable commerce and why commercetools needs to be prioritized over other competing or adjacent solutions in new customer initiatives and projects.
- Orchestrate cross-functional resources within the organization to support the creation and execution of partner GTM activities that will maintain a long-term, scalable joint model that drives commercetools, partner and customer success.
- Maintain and regularly review business plans with partners, establishing clear commitments around marketing, readiness/skills development, project delivery, and sales execution.
- Drive program execution across activities involved in the completion of commitments and goals established in the business plan, such as marketing and lead generation-related activities, joint sales activities with partners, project delivery, and customer adoption of commercetools’ solutions.
- Constantly maintain a clear view of the return on mutual investments including joint marketing and demand generation funding, product investments, and enablement investments.
- Lead regular pipeline reviews to ensure pipeline and forecast information is thorough and accurate.
- Ensure partners maintain training and certification levels to consistently deliver on-time, on-budget and on-scope customer projects with a high customer satisfaction.
- Lead regular project/customer health reviews with the partner and collaborate with Customer Success Management to ensure on-time, on-budget and on-scope project delivery with high customer satisfaction.
- Broker internal resources, tools, references and/or investments needed to execute on the business plans in order to help meet the mutually agreed goals.
- Facilitate joint GTM success between implementation and technology partners, including development of solution accelerators, and tracking of joint sell-with and sell-through business activities.
- Enable and support reseller partners to facilitate access to sales execution support resources within commercetools including sales, pre-sales, legal, deal desk and customer success resources.
- Professional experience selling enterprise software (ideally ecommerce, cloud computing, etc.) working with enterprise customer accounts and with SI/agency/ISV partners in the region.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal in English and German.
- Experience working for a SaaS tech organization.
- Exposure to working with information technology customers and/or partners and C-level decision-makers.
- Experience building new business plans, working with multiple stakeholders including direct and channel marketing, product management, and account management teams.
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
