Senior Sales Manager (all genders) Germany / Austria at Security Services

Tasks & Responsibilities: What you can expect

  • Responsibility for building and managing a pipeline of new Securities Services business opportunities.
  • Management of the end-to-end sales process, responsible closing new business opportunities, ensuring completion of requests for proposals within deadlines, respecting internal deal management and risk procedures.
  • Identifying areas where Securities Services could provide value-added and differentiating services to prospective clients (“prospects”) and quantifying opportunities, e.g., evaluating trend analyses, investigating activities, and proposing opportunities, educating prospects on product usage, etc…
  • Responsibility for a personal sales target of approximately €2m p.a.
  • Systematically developing strong relationships and regular networking with prospects at senior levels,
  • Leveraging Securities Services contacts to arrange meetings to identify new revenue opportunities for our business as well as continual analysis of current propositions.
  • Working internally with product management teams to create solutions for prospects´ needs and targeting maximum product penetration including . expansion to other countries
  • Negotiating to maximise revenue and client profitability potential, ensuring agreed fees to meet our defined margin requirements.
  • Attending and speaking at industry conferences, panels and other events to represent the BNP Paribas brand and to increase Securities Services´ visibility. This includes networking and social media communication

Expertise & Soft Skills: What you offer

  • A strong knowledge of the German investment market for primarily asset managers, asset owners and alternative asset management. Insights/knowledge related to financial intermediaries would also be advantageous.
  • Product knowledge in: depositary services, local and global custody, listed derivatives, securities lending, financing tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build an extensive and reciprocal network at c-suite level.
  • Strategic mind-set with deep understanding of clients’ segment/industry, trends, and competition. Including a strong market network of consultants, lawyers & advisers
  • Demonstrable ability surrounding strategic sales and transformational opportunities.
  • Exceptional ability to drive client demand, identifying & measuring client business value.
  • Proven ability to build a strong pipeline of opportunities through identifying, qualifying, and prioritising prospects Developing best-in-class proposals with a clear value proposition tailored to the client (aligned with client needs, a sense of urgency, articulate presentation skills
  • Strong team player
  • Fluent in English and German
