The Wind Farm & Turbine Control team is seeking a Senior Wind Turbine Control Specialist (m/f/d) to support with digital remote operations of wind farms all around the world. YOUR TASKS

  • 2nd level support for Turbine State Control topics
  • Analysis of turbine error patterns and troubleshooting
  • Support for 1st level in troubleshooting
  • Creation of work instructions and knowledge articles
  • Collaboration with Engineering on complex errors
  • Involvement as a representative in the turbine state control software development process
  • PLC field test support and error analysis
  • Creation and review of specifications for the execution of PLC software updates
  • Monitoring and reporting of the execution of mandatory updates to engineering
  • Coordination and processing of support requests in the ticket system
  • Parameterization of the control of wind turbines and wind farms
  • Analysis of the fleet for error clusters
  • Support in the field testing of software pilot series releases in the wind farm
  • Occasional on-call services

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable qualification
  • Several years of practical experience in dealing with controls (PLC)
  • Ideally comprehensive knowledge in Nordex Control 2 and Nordex Operating System
  • Network knowledge (network analysis, firewalls, switches, subnets)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications
  • Knowledge of Linux is an advantage
  • Result orientation & quality awareness
  • Ability to work in agile and interdisciplinary teams
  • Good English skills in speaking and writing are required
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (10%)
