As a Software Development Engineer – Web Applications (f/m/d), under the leadership of the Test Manager you will be responsible for developing test cases and automated test scripts to maintain the high quality of Cinemo’s solutions and ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate and customer standards/requirements. In this role, you will work in a cross-functional engineering team to understand and implement the scope of the work, use your passion to help maintain our high-quality software and with the use of manual and automated testing techniques.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases, test plans for Android and web applications
  • Execute the tests manually as well as develop and maintain their automation
  • Produce requirements traceability matrices, automation feasibility analysis, time estimations
  • Collaborate closely with development team to understand project requirements and develop testcases
  • Contribute to the definition and refinement of the test strategy and be an advocate for quality practices in your team
  • Identify and document software defects, track issues and collaborate with the development team to resolve them
  • Utilize testing frameworks and tools to automate test cases and enhance test coverage
  • Suggest procedure improvements and contribute to improving internal tooling and processes

This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills who works well in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years of technical testing experience
  • Very good experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Appium, Selenium)
  • Good knowledge and hands-on expertise with Python is required
  • Understanding of other programming languages is a plus (i.e. Java, C++)
  • Experience in test automation of automotive or embedded hardware would be an advantage
  • Strong experience with Linux operating systems and proficiency with CLI tools and scripting
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Very good written and verbal English communication skills
