We are looking for a passionate and driven Team Lead Engineering to join our Financial Services team. The team is responsible for building and maintaining systems and processes in areas such as dunning & debt collection, customer balance management, credit & fraud risk, and dispute management. As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in managing a team of talented engineers, overseeing the delivery of robust financial solutions and ensuring high standards of quality, scalability and security.

Your responsibilities:

  • lead and develop a high-performing team: manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • drive technical excellence: ensure the team delivers high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions by guiding the architecture and design of systems
  • strategic planning and execution: work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to define technical roadmaps, plan and prioritise work, and ensure alignment with business goals
  • foster collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, finance, and operations, to ensure the seamless integration of financial services across the organization
  • manage stakeholder relationships: serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • strong understanding of payment or financial services systems
  • proficiency in PHP, Symfony or Laravel, React/Angular is a plus
  • experience working with GCP (or other cloud platforms)
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • familiarity with agile methodologies and experience leading teams using agile frameworks
