We are looking for a Team Lead Global Category Manager (m/f/d) to join our Procurement Team at INNIO. The successful candidate will have a key role within the INNIO Direct Material Procurement Team which requires team leadership of a Direct Materials sub-team of 4 employees in addition to personal responsibilities for assigned direct materials categories. The Direct Materials Procurement team at INNIO is responsible for all procurement activities which are required to ensure on-time delivery of cost effective materials which meet the highest standards in quality. The INNIO Procurement team is an essential part of INNIO’s operation as well as pivotal in ensuring that INNIO’s future products continue to exceed market and Customer expectations.

Your work location is Jenbach, Austria. Relocation or 3-4 days / week presence in Jenbach is a requirement for this team lead position.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of a team of direct material category leaders (4 employees) which will include both functional and people leadership responsibilities
  • Development and execution of detailed procurement category strategies
  • Continued creation and execution of procurement savings initiatives
  • Implementation & execution of structured supplier relationship management plans
  • Management of supplier contracts and negotiations: implementation of new and continued maintenance of existing contracts
  • Continued assessment of supplier performance and implementation of corrective actions when required
  • Define procurement solutions for future product line development programs

Your Profile:

  • Significant experience in direct material procurement predominately gained within the Reciprocating Engine sector
  • Masters / Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Business Management related discipline
  • Experience in leading teams or aspirations to do so
  • Outstanding influencing / negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Highly motivated with an outstanding track record concerning ability to deliver
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Team player mentality with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Fluent in German & English (oral and written)
  • Experienced with the use of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time to our global supply base

The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 4.502,64 gross per month (x 14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.
