Team Lead Payments (m/f/d)
The Team Lead is heading the Payments Operations Team, ensuring that relevant tasks are executed in a correct, smooth, and efficient manner. You would be an expert for the team and the wider Bank on payment regulations, payment methods, payment systems and related technology. As a Team Lead Payments you will be responsible for continuously shaping the team to address challenges arising from a changing environment, solving complex cases, and establishing improvements that ensure an efficient and robust BAU operation in line with regulatory and business requirements.
- Responsibility for Berlin Payments Operations and relationship management with internal and external stakeholders, like clearing banks
- Subject matter expert on Payments. Key regulations such as PSD2, AML and KYC. Payment methods SEPA (SCT, SDD, pacs, PAIN, IQF), instant payments, SWIFT and RTGS. Understanding of processes and systems for settling interbank payments or clearing house settlements. Familiarity with core banking systems and interfaces to payment transaction systems like EBICS, SWIFT and Target-Services
- Leadership responsibility for the Payments Operations area
- Responsible for effective performance management. Ensure excellent learning, development, and feedback culture within the team. Responsible for optimal resource allocation and support with recruitment
- Ensuring the successful integration of existing payments operations and new payments functions resulting from changes in banking projects
- Timely identification of run-the-bank changes and effective cooperation with change and project management to ensure continuous compliance
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Payments
- Proven experience in leading a team with the ability to effectively manage a variety of roles
- Collaborative way of working with the ability to challenge effectively
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated team player
- Ability to develop strong working relationships; to engage and operate across organizational levels
- Fluent in German and English
