Technical Support and Customer ServiceThe Technical Support Specialist will be deployed on-site at CTL customer locations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, which represents approximately 75% of the role. The position includes technical support (software and hardware) for CTL’s products, programming tasks for the CTL group, as well as training sessions and product presentations for customers.
– Install, commission, maintain, and support our biotechnology systems, instruments, and software—both remotely and on-site.
– Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in close collaboration with our development and service teams.
– Perform functionality tests, validation, and quality checks before shipment.
– Train customers on the operation and maintenance of our systems and software solutions.
– Provide technical advice and service support within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, Africa).
Troubleshooting and System Understanding
– Independently troubleshoot and repair electronic, mechanical, and IT components.
– Support continuous technical improvement and document service cases.
– Apply and further develop CTL’s technological toolset within the field of immunoassay and immune monitoring.
Collaboration and Responsibility
– Work closely with sales, development, and customer service departments.
– Take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating accuracy, reliability, and initiative.
– Willingness to travel within Europe, and occasionally to the Middle East and Africa.
– Completed degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
– Strong technical aptitude combined with analytical and solution-oriented thinking.
– Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken (German language skills are an advantage).
– Enjoyment of customer interaction and working in an international environment.
– Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style.
– Willingness to travel within the EMEA region.
– A valid passport and the ability to obtain required travel visas for customer destinations in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
