Our HR team in Düsseldorf is looking for you!

  • You will develop a deep understanding of Uniper’s business, its value drivers, and the business environment
  • You will learn from and collaborate with experts from many different fields, contribute your ideas and work on your own projects with various stakeholders
  • You will start in the Quantitative Methods function within the Risk department and rotate flexibly upon your individual career development path
  • In Quantitative Methods, you will help to develop state-of-the-art valuation, risk management and optimization models, and implement them as software solutions into our systems infrastructure and processes
  • You will assist in ensuring the effective use of these models and analytics within the organization to enable commercial functions to manage financial risks (market, credit, liquidity, weather), to contribute to the origination of new business and to support and enhance risk management
  • Understand front-to-end business processes, and work effectively and collaboratively across the organization to deliver solutions

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on mathematics, physics, or a related field
  • Ideally first practical experience gained through internships and/or working student activities
  • Curiosity and openness to working in an international environment
  • Intercultural experience is crucial, experience abroad a plus
  • Sense of responsibility, proactivity and advanced interpersonal communication skills as well as a drive for continuous improvement with a hands-on mentality
  • Familiarity with common numerical methods, probability theory, and ideally also stochastic calculus
  • First experience in implementing numerical calculations of stochastic or other complex mathematical models in a modern programming language
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is required, German language skills are a plus
