As a Trainee in “Software Engineering Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS)”, you will explore our in-house developed Mercedes-Benz Operating System which is supposed to elevate the digital experience inside the car to a new level. Our chip-to-cloud architecture connects all vehicle domains – from autonomous driving to comfort and infotainment, as well as driving & charging. MB.OS empowers us to fully shape the customer relationship and maintain sovereignty over the entire data flow.
You will play a pivotal role by shaping the future of MB.OS in one or multiple of the following areas:
- You push infotainment functions like Navigation to the next level

You foster state-of-the-art software engineering and shape our in-house development ecosystem
- You shape the agile processes and transformation of MB.OS software development
- You drive the introduction of the paradigm-shifting Zone Architecture into our new model series by contributing to Mercedes’ global in-house software-development.
Throughout the program, you will also engage with the integration of hardware, software, and network architectures, including the development of the next generation MB.OS, and explore infotainment solutions like our Mercedes-Benz User Experience. By utilizing AI we aim to enhance our development processes and products. Join us to revolutionize the way we develop, produce, and sell vehicles.
- An above-average degree (bachelor, master, MBA or doctorate) in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable course of study
- Maximum of 3 years of professional experience (apart from studies)
- At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel)
- Affinity and enthusiasm for digital technologies and trends
- Social commitment is preferred
- Excellent knowledge of English; good German language skills are an advantage
- You are ready to drive the transformation forward at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility.
- You are open and communicative and have very good analytical skills.
- You are a team player and can motivate others.
