The Vetting Team, an exceptional multi-cultural group of people, spans across our offices in Germany, Varna, Singapore and Stamford. The team operates under the dynamic leadership of Jassy and Stefanie, who in turn are overseen by Bettina and Nina.

Despite geographical distances, the Vetting team finds a shared virtual home through an open Teams line, ensuring a seamless and continuous dialogue, blending work with camaraderie.

In its daily work life, the Vetting team engages collaboratively with various other Oldendorff departments. As a Vetting Manager, you will be responsible for the investigation and compliance of sanctions for all contracting parties doing business with Oldendorff.

Vetting Manager (m/f/d)

  • To provide dependable information on counterparts for various Oldendorff departments.
  • To assist various departments to avoid doing business with sanctioned or non-credible parties.
  • To observe and evaluate official sanctions lists and restrictions according to US, UK and EU law.
  • To operate and apply different internal and external databases to provide a detailed and complete vetting report.
  • To cultivate information of our contracting partners within our in-house vetting databases.
  • To handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by Team Leader or Desk Head.

  • Basic shipping knowledge is beneficial and preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are needed for an effective work performance.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) and good computer knowledge are essential for this position.
  • As the ideal candidate, you describe yourself as an excellent team player (in-office as well as hybrid) but capable of working independently, meticulous and dedicated.
  • Quick learner incl. ability to adapt to changing environment.
