Job Description

The candidate will support our preclinical discovery programs for human therapeutic antibodies: The candidate will be responsible for carrying out and analyzing in vitro as well as in vivo preclinical research studies designed at assessing the therapeutic potential of drug candidates. Key responsibilities include the biochemical characterization of lead candidates, the set-up and evaluation of transgenic disease models for neurodegenerative disorders, the preparation and execution of therapeutic studies, as well as the analysis and reporting of histological, biochemical and behavioral endpoints. The candidate will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of Neurimmune’s ALS Research team.

Qualifications

The candidate must have hands-on experience in pharmacology research, preferably in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases. Solid know-how in biochemical, immunological and histological analysis techniques including ELISA, Western Blot, tissue processing, sectioning and immunohistochemical staining is required. Experience in stereotactic brain injections is a plus. Knowledge in the handling, cultivation and transfection of eukaryotic cells and immunofluorescence staining would be advantageous. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, goal-oriented and team players.

Education

MSc, BSc or training as laboratory technician in Biology or equivalent degree in biological sciences with relevant professional experience.
