As pioneers of the “New Era of Adaptive Optics,” we’re transforming industries with our groundbreaking Deformable Phase Plate (DPP) technology. This innovation promises to revolutionize medical diagnostics, microscopy, and beyond. We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Engineer to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in the commercialization of our products and the growth of Phaseform.
Phaseform, a spin-off from the University of Freiburg, is developing a groundbreaking new class of optical devices called Deformable Phase Plates (DPPs). Our technology represents a significant leap forward in what optical systems can accomplish by enabling imaging systems to follow dynamic changes in the sample or medium for the best possible imaging performance. Our vision is to harness the potential of adaptive optics for microscopy and medical imaging, empowering all instruments in these fields to operate at their physical limit in terms of detail and clarity.
- Collaborate with our international network of distributors, providing training and acting as the key contact person.
- Travel worldwide to integrate our technology into customers’ optical systems.
- Participate in workshops, conferences, and industry events to showcase our products and enhance market presence.
- Gather and communicate feedback from the field to influence product development and improvements.
- Work closely with our product R&D teams to align sales strategies with the product roadmap and customer needs.
- Engage with the research community, universities, and SMEs to form collaborations and partnerships in microscopy and ophthalmology.
- Experience in technical sales or a related field; previous experience in high-tech or startup environments is a plus.
- Background in Optics, Physics, Engineering, Microscopy, Ophthalmology or a related field preferred.
- Willingness to build a network in microscopy, ophthalmology, or related fields.
- Adaptability in integrating our device into existing optical setups.
- Problem-solving attitude and strong communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with customer engagement, product demonstrations, and troubleshooting preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally (Asia, North America and Europe). Amount of traveling up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to learn and translate complex technical concepts into accessible and compelling messages.
