  • As an expert, you will contribute your know­ledge to research and develop­ment projects for the development of materials and glasses for cutting-edge optical technologies.
  • You will develop new processes and optimise existing hot pro­cessing methods for glass.
  • You will work closely with inter­discipli­nary teams and external partners.
  • You will present develop­ment progress and research results at national and international specia­list conferences.
  • You will also be responsible for planning, carrying out and statisti­cally analysing experi­ments.

  • Successfully completed studies in physics, materials science or a related field — docto­rate desirable
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in research and develop­ment, preferably in materials science or optics
  • In-depth knowledge of the properties of materials and glasses for optical appli­cations or litho­graphy
  • Knowledge of hot working processes is an advantage
  • Expertise in experimental design and statis­tical analysis
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work indepen­dently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to present at national and interna­tional confe­rences
  • Fluency in German and English
