TUI Cruises GmbH is one of the leading cruise operators in the German-speaking world. The joint venture of TUI AG and the US cruise company Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. employs around 750 people in Hamburg and Berlin. On board of the ships, 136 positions are managed directly by TUI Cruises GmbH. A fleet of seven ships sails for the brand Mein Schiff®. Since the end of 2020, the Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has also been part of TUI Cruises GmbH with a fleet of currently five ships. The Mein Schiff® fleet offers contemporary vacation cruises at sea in the premium segment (Mein Schiff 1 to Mein Schiff 7). Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is the leading luxury and expedition cruise brand in the German-speaking world with a 130-year history. (MS EUROPA, MS EUROPA 2 & HANSEATIC nature, HANSEATIC inspiration and HANSEATIC spirit). TUI Cruises operates one of the most modern, environmentally and climate-friendly fleets in the world. In the process of sustainable growth, two more new ships are planned by 2026.
TUI Cruises is looking for a full-time employee to start in January at its Hamburg site:
Fleet Performance Manager (all gender)
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining data collection tools and developing them further
- Responsible for reporting consumption and emission values to regulatory bodies (IMO, EU, etc.)
- Review the energy efficiency of the fleet through onboard and shore support in terms of fuel optimization and performance enhancement
- Support and guide on-going energy efficiency projects
- Support other ESG related reporting
- Work closely with the Fleet Energy Performance Manager and other internal departments.
- Support the development of a long-term energy technology investment strategy for the company, in line with the Net Zero initiative and carbon reduction regulations
- Has completed Bachelor’s, Master’s program in Engineering or Econometrics or Environmental Science with strong marine background
- Ideally on board experience a cruise vessel
- Deep understanding of the EU’s MRV regulation and other maritime fuel and emissions regulations
- Familiarity with reporting requirements, deadlines, data management, and compliance obligations
- Knowledge of international environmental and maritime laws
- Ability to collaborate with third-party verifiers and ensure audit readiness
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Curious, quick learner, team player and who loves to think outside the box
