Attention, please! The members of our Marketing & Communications Team have something to say—every day. No wonder, considering they’re in charge of media relations, events, digital marketing, and digital communications, with which they shape BCG’s image among clients, employees, alumni, and job applicants, as well as the media and the general public. Bringing the Group’s global thought leadership to the world, they ensure that BCG expertise and studies are placed in the right channel at the right time and continuously develop our communications and marketing strategy.
You’ll work as a highly motivated Communications (Junior) Specialist in BCG’s German Media Relations Team at the interface between our consultants and the public—based either in our Munich or Düsseldorf office. You’ll successfully turn complex content into understandable and interesting media stories. At the same time, you’ll support the dialog between journalists and BCG experts with our extensive network in editorial offices.
You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing media relations work in the German market and promoting business-related topics and studies in business and specialist media, especially in the areas of geopolitics, the public sector, insurance, and healthcare. While the role will start with a focus on these topics, we’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to delve into new topics when needed—whether to support colleagues or respond to shifting priorities. You’ll act as contact for journalists with media inquiries as well as BCG’s senior management when they have contact with media representatives. Your area of responsibility will also include preparing and supporting interviews with BCG Senior Management. As part of your role, you’ll take care of expanding and maintaining contact with journalists and editorial offices. In addition to observing and analyzing press reports, you’ll identify company-relevant topics, trends, rankings, and surveys.
