This position is part of Novanta’s Advanced Surgery business unit. Specialized in the field of Minimally Invasive Medicine, WOM develops devices and accessories so that doctors can operate with small cuts. We produce Cameras, Insufflators, Medical Pumps, and tubing that makes diagnosis and treatment easier for everyone. Our insufflators and pump systems dilate cavities in the body and turn previously complicated surgeries into minor procedures. Together with customers, doctors, and technical experts, our teams continuously search for new ways to innovate.
As a working student in our Quality Management team, your primary role is to support our QM team in task around creating, implementing and maintaining our QMS. You will collaborate closely with our QM specialists to update standard operating procedures, templates and support introducing and qualifying new software tools within quality management – like a learning management system (LMS) and a product lifecycle management system (PLM)system.
It’s an excellent opportunity for students currently enrolled in relevant undergraduate or graduate programs. Your quality-conscious mindset and your reliable, structured and systematic way of working will be essential in contributing to the team’s tasks and goals. This position offers a valuable learning experience in quality management practices.
- Support in creating and editing stand operating procedures (SOP)
- Support in creating templates for SOP
- Support in creating and maintaining digital signature workflows
- Support in updating design control processes and their graphical representation in flow diagrams.
- Support to validate a learning management system (LMS)
- Support in setting up training content into the LMS
- Support in testing the workflow oft he LMS
- Support in setting up and validating a digital quality management system (QMS)
- Support in setting up and validating a product lifecycle management system (PLM)
- Work closely with team members to continuously improve the QMS
- Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Comply with company policies and guidelines.
Education/Experience:
- Student of master’s or bachelor’s degree in quality management, medical engineering or a related field
- Experience with quality management is a plus but not mandatory.
