Are you a seasoned professional with experience working with large corporations to implement decarbonisation and net-zero pathways? Are you an empathetic leader with a proven track record of building empowered teams in a fast paced agile environment? Then you’ve come to the right place! We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced leader in data to lead our Engineering team.
Your responsibilities
- As a Principal Frontend Engineer at Plan A, your main responsibilities will be to provide leadership, guidance and mentorship, as well as oversight over the development of our carbon emissions accounting product. We are looking for someone to:
- Provide a technical authority in the area of speciality (eg. trusted to take the final call on any technical or architectural decisions)
- Promote technical excellence in the function, eg. through chapter sessions, documentation, setting up automations (eg. with Github Actions)
- Initiate projects, initiatives, and processes to improve the technical foundation and way of working in the function (ensuring security, scalability, performance)
- Provide technical mentoring and consulting in area of frontend expertise where required
- Track record as a senior or principal frontend engineer with experience building and scaling frontend architectures
- Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies, including JS, React, Typescript, CSS, and Node.js
- Experience/knowledge with micro-frontends/micro services
- Expertise in frontend architecture (webpack, grunt/gulp, npm, dependabot etc.)
- Experience with automation (eg. github actions for linters/tests/releases or jenkins pipeline)
- Passion for frontend testing and coverage (unit, e2e)
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineers
- Experience in leading technical and operational best practice within a frontend function chapter
- Agile, pragmatic, and user-centric mindset
