Description

The Project Controls Manager is responsible for the management and reporting of costs and schedule of assigned projects, along with coordination of Document Control management.
Efforts include tracking and coordinating the progress of the project on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the project is on-track. Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and reporting of the project’s cost control, schedule, earned value and progressing

  • Lead the project controls function for assigned construction projects, including cost, budget and quantity control, schedule management and reporting
  • Collaborate with project management and engineering and construction teams to create a culture of discipline and accountability throughout the duration of the construction project
  • Enforce consistent project level controls over budgets, schedule, quantities, commitments, liquidity and reporting
  • Responsible for managing a forecasting process that captures current spend and schedule expectations by area and task during all phases of the project. The forecast is presented to senior management and includes a comparison with the previous forecast and clear explanations for variances
  • Liaising with the commercial and procurement teams for the timely management and reporting of all scope and schedule changes in accordance with the company’s control procedures
  • Managing the utilisation of project contingency in accordance with the company’s control procedures
  • Regular monitoring of projects (project performance against budget, estimated cost to completion, funding requests and requirements, etc.)
  • Weekly reconciliation of actual expenditure against quarterly forecasts and identification of variances

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field require
  • Advanced knowledge of cost engineering concepts and scheduling skills
  • Understanding of Earned Value and quantity based progressing
  • Working knowledge with the following software applications: Primavera P6, SAP4, Estimating platforms, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated experience in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling, schedule analysis, cost estimating, earned value, and cost control,
  • Demonstrated high degree of foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project cost abnormalities.
  • Understanding of Contract requirements and deliverables
  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects is required.
