We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to support our founding team in Leipzig as a Student Assistant (Werkstudent) (m/f/d). The ideal candidate will have an interest in venture capital and entrepreneurship.

About Smart Infrastructure Ventures:

Smart Infrastructure Ventures (‘SIVentures’) is a young private venture capital fund based in Leipzig’s SpinLab Accelerator. We focus on investing in early-stage software startups, particularly in the sectors of energy, IT infrastructure, AI applications, proptech, mobility, ehealth, and more.

Our team of three founders has extensive international experience in finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and venture capital. We offer access to infrastructure, coaching, mentoring, and our international network of successful business founders, established market players, and leading investors.

  • Sourcing and identifying promising startups across various sectors
  • Attending pitch events and conferences to stay up-to-date with emerging trends
  • Engaging with startup founders to understand their businesses, traction, and fundraising strategies
  • Evaluating and reviewing startups for potential investment opportunities
  • Maintaining databases of startups and research projects
  • Providing general support to our founding team

  • Residency in Leipzig (we are not accepting applications from outside Leipzig)
  • More than one year until graduation (preferably Master’s level)
  • Hands-on mentality and self-starting attitude
  • High level of commitment and motivation
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
  • Prior experience in venture capital and/or entrepreneurship is advantageous (either through studies or internships)
