Emagine is looking for a CMDB Consultant for a client within the construction and building industry.
We’re looking for an experienced CMDB Solution Consultant to join our clients team. The CMDB Solution Consultant will play a crucial role in scoping, gathering requirements, evaluating existing solutions, and planning the implementation of our clients CMDB solution.
Experience within similar industries and large global organizations is highly valued.

As a CMDB Solution Consultant, you’ll collaborate closely with the client’s responsible solution architect. Your expertise will guide the client through the following key areas:
Scope Alignment:
Facilitate up to ten virtual meetings with project stakeholders to discuss and align the scope of the clients CMDB solution investigation.
Act as an independent advisor, evaluating pros and cons for including or excluding scope elements.
Outcome: An agreed-upon scope for the CMDB solution investigation.
Requirement Gathering:
Collect functional and non-functional requirements based on prior experience and internal workshops.
Prioritize requirements into high, medium, and low categories through interviews with key stakeholders.
Participate in up to five two-hour virtual requirement gathering workshops.
Leverage your experience from similar industries (OT/IT considerations).
Outcome: A comprehensive list of requirements, including criticality assessments for evaluating different CMDB solutions.
AS-IS Evaluation:
Investigate the technical capabilities of existing solutions (e.g., “Staging DB” and “4me”).
Identify gaps between existing solutions and the requirements list.
Interview solution owners and provide recommendations on fit.
Outcome: A detailed report on the state of existing solutions.
Supplier Selection:
Consult on relevant suppliers for the CMDB solution.
Participate in evaluating selected suppliers’ solutions, ranking them against functional requirements.
Provide recommendation for the best fit CMDB solution.
Outcome: A well-informed supplier selection decision.
High-Level Execution Plan:
Collaborate on the execution plan for implementing the CMDB solution.
Identify potential gaps that could impact project success.
Outcome: A high-level execution plan.
