We are looking for a Management Assistant (f/m/d) for our Chief Sustainability and New Technologies Officer (Member of the Managing Board) located in our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany.
In this position you will have an excellent opportunity to work closely with a Managing Board member, and therefore to understand how the business works from the perspective of the Managing Board. You will support our Chief Sustainability and New Technologies Officer in realizing Heidelberg Materials’ sustainability vision, driving conceptual and strategic topics forward as well as preparing, coordinating and/or facilitating collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
- “Every-day” tasks: Ensure the swift and effective resolution of day-to-day operational tasks, including content preparation for meetings with internal and external stakeholders, document meeting minutes and track agreed action items.
- Strategic support: Assist the Board Member in driving forward conceptual and strategic topics, including conduct high-quality research, analyse data, prepare strategy papers and/or decision papers for the Managing Board. This can involve collaborations with the Board Member’s direct reports, other Group functions or external partners.
- Project involvement: Drive or participate in Group-wide, international projects on topics like decarbonization, circular economy, biodiversity and many more.
- Communication hub: Serve as communication liaison between the Chief Sustainability and New Technologies Officer, Management Board offices, Managers in our Headquarters and our countries, as well as external stakeholders.
YOUR PROFILE
- Educational excellence: Excellent university degree in engineering, science, business administration or related field.
- Adaptive learner: A keen learning attitude is prioritized over specific experience, demonstrating the ability to quickly assimilate new concepts and apply them effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, cross-functional team and environment.
- Project management mastery: Proven experience in project management, with a track record of driving projects to successful completion.
- Global perspective: Experience in working in an international environment, showcasing the ability to navigate and contribute in a diverse, global business environment.
- Interpersonal skills: Exceptional interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of seniority and from various cultural backgrounds. Applying a dynamic, solution-oriented, and results-driven work approach, coupled with a precise and structured analytical mindset.
- Language proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in German and English.
