As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations and ensuring compliance with the local financial regulations, working in hybrid model from our office in Rasttat, Germany. The primary duties will involve managing accounting processes, financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to local and international regulations.
- Oversee full accounting for the subsidiaries in accordance with local accounting and tax regulations in Sweden.
- Prepare and approve financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, in compliance with applicable standards (IFRS or/and HGB).
- Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.
- Collaborate with external auditors and prepare documentation for audits.
- Prepare tax filings (VAT, CIT, other mandatory reports).
- Handle intercompany transactions and consolidation between subsidiaries in different jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial and operational processes.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll requirements.
- Min. 5 years of experience in Senior Accountant role, at the entity level.
- Min. 5 years of experience with German accounting and tax regulations.
- Ability to work individually, without direct supervision, in a distributed environment.
- Background in international or cross-border operations.
- Practical and proven skills in calculating tax (VAT, CIT), preparing financial statements and account reconcialition.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and experience with ERP systems.
