Reports to the Director of Information Security

You are willing to subject yourself to the S2 security check (Sicherheitsüberprüfung) of the German Government (Security Screening Act (SÜG))

You’ll work directly with our Director Information Security and cross-functional teams to ensure continuous compliance, strengthen our security posture, and help us maintain a culture of security and privacy by design.

Maintain and enhance our Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) in line with ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 standards

Manage documentation, risk assessments, audits, and evidence collection via our Security Compliance platform

Monitor and document compliance controls for AI components under emerging AI regulations (e.g., EU AI Act).

Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including surveillance and re-certification audits

Conduct vendor risk assessments and third-party due diligence reviews

Track and follow up on corrective actions, security incidents, and compliance tasks

Work with engineering and product teams to embed security and privacy best practices

Support security & privacy trainings to promote awareness

Support customer security due diligence questionnaires and RFPs

Stay current on regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CRA, AI Act), standards, and security frameworks

Previous working experience: minimum 4 years in Cyber Security, GDPR

4+ years of experience in information security, privacy compliance, or IT audit, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment

Strong understanding of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR and security governance principles

Familiarity with security compliance tools (e.g. Secureframe, Drata, Vanta or similar)

Ability to manage documentation and drive initiatives independently with a detail-oriented mindset

Strong interpersonal skills: you know how to communicate clearly across departments and build trust, even in remote settings

Adaptability and proactivity: you thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments and don’t wait for instructions to solve problems

Collaboration mindset: you enjoy working with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and can translate security needs into business value

Resilience under pressure: you stay focused and calm when priorities shift or multiple requests come your way

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German

Experience with SOC 2, NIST CSF, or DevSecOps environments is a plus
